July 11-12/18-19. Virtual Songwriting Workshop. We’re working with the North Carolina and Dare County Arts Councils to present our expanded songwriting workshop. We’ll run this over two weekends (to avoid Zoom fatigue). You can expect discussion and play focussed on the elements of the craft of songwriting including theory, harmony, song structure, lyrics, and more. This is a hands-on workshop presented virtually.  We’ll have mentors logging in from all over the country, so you’ll get lots of different tips and ideas. To register, contact Chris Sawin of the Dare County Arts Council at dareartsinfo@gmail.com.

September 22-October 27. Virtual Songwriting Workshop. Our friends at the Howard County (MD) Library are hosting our fall songwriting workshop. Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 830pm, 9/22 through 10/27. Taught by Ron Capps with weekly special guests. Subjects: Basic music theory for songwriters, song structures, lyrics, and performing and recording. Taught via Zoom.
