March 28-29-30. Portland, OR. Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP 2018). As usual, we’ll have a table where you can come by and meet us, grab a copy of Writing War: A Guide to Telling Your Own Story, or our literary journal O-Dark-Thirty. You’ll also find books by our editors and instructors for sale.

Expect two-days of discussion and play focussed on the elements of the craft of songwriting including melody, harmony, song structure, lyrics, and more. This is a hands on workshop, so bring your (acoustic) instrument like a guitar or ukulele. But even if you don’t play an instrument, you’re still welcome to join. To register, contact Chris Sawin of the Dare County Arts Council at firstname.lastname@example.org.
