March 5-6. In Person Creative Writing Workshop. Tidewater, VA. The Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts will host a two-day workshop led by Jim Mathews. Contact rick.byrd@suffolkcenter.org for registration.

March 23-26. AWP. Philadelphia, PA. We’ll be live at the Association of Writers and Writing Programs annual event in Philadelphia. Look for us at table T1118.

April 9. One-Day Writing Seminar. Damariscotta, ME. We’re joining forces with The Peace Gallery, a non-profit community arts center to present this one-day writing seminar led by our director, Ron Capps. FMI or to register, contact Ron directly: ron@veteranswriting.org.

Ongoing. Writers’ Group. Damariscotta, ME. Beginning April 19th and continuing on alternating Tuesday evenings from 6-8, we will host an informal veteran writer’s group at The Peace Gallery in Damariscotta, ME. Join us if you want to talk about writing, get feedback on something you’re writing, or meet other writers in the veterans community. April 21, 22, 23. NVCAF. We’ll be providing workshops for the winning writers of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ National Veterans Creative Arts Festival. Workshop leaders: Dario DiBattista, Jerri Bell, Ron Capps.

Ongoing. Songwriters’ Circle. Damariscotta, ME. Beginning April 26th and continuing on alternating Tuesday evenings from 6-8 pm, we will partner with Soldier Songs and Voices to present songwriting and music classes, and a songwriters’ circle at The Peace Gallery in Damariscotta, ME. Join us  if you’re interested in learning about the craft of songwriting, how to play guitar, want to share and get feedback on some of your own songs, or just want to hang out.
